There is free parking in the Downtown after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends.
You can purchase monthly and early parking passes from City Hall on weekdays between 8:30am and 4pm for the parking lots in Downtown Timmins.
Business owners and employees in Downtown Timmins are encouraged to park in the parking lots and leave on street parking for customers visiting the Downtown. There are many parking lots within walking distance for business owners and employees.
Individuals with accessible passes or veteran’s cards have a FREE 2-hour limit in the lots and at meters.

Downtown Timmins BIA looks partnered with the City of Timmins on a new way to implement paying for parking with “passport parking” app. You can now download the app onto your smartphone or from your PC and pay by debit or credit card to pay for your parking. There is a 35 cent convenience fee per session, that is paid by the motorist.

All on street meters have a maximum of a 2-hour parking allocation.
75 cents per hour are implemented on the following streets only: Balsam Street South up to Spruce Street South and only between Algonquin Blvd and Second Avenue. (See map)
All remaining on street spots and municipal parking lots are available at 50 cents per hour.
Parking passes are also available for all 7 parking lots. The cost is $45.00 + HST per month for a parking pass. The monthly parking pass is not permitted in two lots which include the Cedar St. lot beside Gibby’s Tavern and the Pine St. lot beside Don’s Pizzeria.
Passes can be purchased at The City Hall during business hours.
