In April 2010, the Downtown Timmins Board of Management welcomed Janna Cook as the new President.  Janna Cook is currently the Branch Manager at BMO Bank of Montreal and has represented the BIA Board for the last 10 years.  She previously held the position of Treasurer.  She looks forward to leading the BIA through an expansion of the downtown core, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the City of Timmins with merchants and customers and by promoting the downtown businesses with improved events and visibility.

Janna Cook says:  “As the new President of the Downtown Timmis BIA, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the past Board Members I have had the opportunity to work with over the past 10 years and I certainly look forward to working with all of you in the upcoming years.  Let’s make a difference!”

Our goal is to promote the downtown as a unique community and as the heart of the city.  Downtown Timmins is a place where people love to live, work, shop and play.

The Downtown Timmins Board of Directors will continue to work to develop and organize services and policies that make sense for our downtown businesses in parking, street maintenance, flower planting, signage, litter pick up, graffiti removal and other activities to ensure an attractive and vibrant downtown.  There is a lot that has been accomplished, but there are still many projects that require some work.
